DECK STAINING & PAINTING
Bring new life to your deck with a stain refresh or an entirely new stain color. Depending on what stain has been used previously, we may need to completely remove it for a new color to show through.
The primary reason for deck staining is to protect the wood. Decks should be stained every other year, depending upon weather conditions.
If you have any damage from carpenter bees or any other repairs to improve the safety or beauty of the deck, we can provide these through our carpentry services.
Our first step with any deck staining project is to remove the dirt, moss and other build-up through a pressure washing treatment.
Tree sap drips sometimes require sanding. We'll also check for splintered wood and sand where needed. We'll examine the deck for nails that are protruding and recess those for safety.
We use only top of the line manufacturer stains and paints and have a wide selection from which you can choose. We can also match your existing stain.
We'll provide the necessary plastic and cloth covers to ensure your landscaping, furniture and other outside items are protected. Then we'll begin our stain treatment which typically requires two coats.
At least one day of dry weather is necessary to ensure the stain dries and seals. We will need to consult the weather projections and work with you to ensure we schedule a day that will provide adequate drying time.
